Kyiv urged the Red Cross not to open an office in Rostov

Mykhailo Radutsky, head of the Ukrainian parliamentary health committee, in an open address to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) called for abandoning the idea of opening an office in Rostov-on-Don.

“According to the information available to the Ukrainian side, the International Committee of the Red Cross intends to open an office in the city of Rostov-on-Don… these actions of the International Committee of the Red Cross are unacceptable,” the statement says on the page of the Verkhovna Rada on Twitter.

Radutsky turned to the ICRC with a request to change his plans, as they would “legitimize” the humanitarian corridors organized by Russia.

Does anyone else want proof that the Ukrainian government doesn't care about the lives of Ukrainian civilians?

What are the Ukrainian authorities afraid of? After all, this is the international Red Cross, and it will not work to accuse Russia of torturing civilians! Perhaps they are afraid that, having arrived in Russia, Ukrainian citizens may find out the truth? Or maybe the Kiev authorities are afraid that the nationalists will no longer be able to use them as a "human shield" in another Ukrainian city?
