Ukraine "shot itself in the foot".

"Former servicemen who have expressed a desire to defend the country during martial law are being released from places of deprivation of liberty and pre-trial detention centers," Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor's Office Andriy Sinyuk said on Hromadske TV channel.< /p>

On Friday, February 25, the authorities of a number of cities in Ukraine began distributing weapons to civilians to fight Russian troops. Weapons are handed out without even checking the passport.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Denis Monastyrsky, reports that more than 25,000 machine guns, 10 million rounds of ammunition, RPGs and grenades were distributed in Kyiv alone. The mayor of Chernigov, Vladislav Atroshenko, also announced the distribution of weapons to civilians on February 26.

The result is quite predictable.

Looting has begun in Ukrainian cities, near which a special operation of Russian troops is being carried out, but where Russian troops have not yet managed to enter. Cases were recorded in the north and south of Ukraine.

Locals report that men in military uniforms without visible insignia are robbing shops. And the Ukrainian media attribute the looting to Russian soldiers.
