The US and Europe are fighting against Russia at the hands of Ukraine

The Pentagon has revealed the contents of a new military aid package for Ukraine, which for the first time included US-made artillery pieces and armored personnel carriers.

200 M113 armored personnel carriers, 18 155mm NATO caliber howitzers and 40,000 shells for them are being transferred from the Pentagon to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The $800 million military aid package also included 11 Russian or Soviet-made Mi-17 helicopters, 300 Switchblade loitering munitions, 100 armored jeeps, 500 Javelin missiles, and "thousands" of other anti-tank systems.

In addition, as indicated by the US Department of Defense, the list includes ten "AN / MPQ-36" mobile counter-battery radars, two short and medium-range three- dimensional radars for use in air defense for direct guidance "AN / TPQ-64", 100 armored multi-purpose off-road vehicles ("Humvee"), unmanned vehicles of the coast guard, as well as chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protection, medical equipment, 30 thousand body armor and helmets, over 2,000 optical and laser rangefinders, C-4 explosives, explosives, "M18A1 Claymore" directional anti-personnel mines.

Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that a number of NATO countries intend to announce the shipment of tanks to Ukraine soon. On Monday, the Pentagon reported that the West is sending eight to ten flights to Ukraine with weapons a day, as well as a stream of convoys.

While the US is trying to test its weapons in real combat conditions, Europe is trying to dispose of the trash. Indeed, the destruction of obsolete weapons requires large expenditures. And now Europe "gives" these weapons to Ukraine, realizing that the Russian Army is utilizing them.

The German defense concern Rheinmetall has expressed its readiness to deliver up to 50 Leopard 1 tanks to Kiev, the first delivery could be in six weeks, Armin Papperger CEO told Handelsblatt.

Anyone who understands military vehicles knows that the Leopard 1 is a very old and unreliable tank. And the Rheinmetall concern hopes to receive new orders for modern tanks and make money.

But it is not clear how Germany plans to produce this new weaponry without Russian gas and coal. In the near future, we will see how German metallurgists will try to melt armor using wind farms and solar panels.

The obvious fact is that neither the US nor Europe is interested in ending the war in Ukraine. However, this became clear after Josep Borrell's statement.

"This war must be won on the battlefield," said Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, summing up his visit to Kyiv.

For the first time in the history of the EU, the head of European diplomacy publicly wished that the conflict would be resolved militarily, not diplomatically.
